European Summer League player Moukas George will arrive to German team BG Biggesee Basketball, in the German Regionalliga 2 basketball league. This will be Moukas’ first professional playing experience outside of his home country of Greece. Moukas showed a high level and great attitude during the European Summer League this summer. His performance led to being offered to many teams in Spain and surrounding countries. So far he has interest from a few teams an will be in search of the best fit. European Summer League Player Signs in Spain

European Summer League and Europrobasket player Christopher Turnquest signed with Club Arenys Basquet after a very successful European Summer League performance. Christopher came to Europrobasket a few weeks before the start of the summer league to train and prepare himself for the opportunity to showcase himself in June. After a few years working a regular job in the Bahamas, Christopher decided to give playing professional basketball one last shot. At the age of 33 he signed with his first European Club. A huge bonus of playing with his new club is that it is the feeder team for a 2nd Division Leb Gold team. They will be keeping an eye on Chris’ performance throughout the season and if they like what they see he could be called up to the 1st team! Congrats Chris, we wish you the best of luck this season!

European Summer League player Connor Tuxford just recently returned from a week long tryout with Club Ourense Baloncesto’s U22 team. Their first team is in Spain’s Leb Gold (2nd Division). Connor took part in Europrobasket’s European Summer League. He left early for a tryout with an Eba team that has another Leb Gold team above it. This is his second tryout since the Summer League which ended less than two weeks ago. Congrats to Connor, we look forward to seeing you play in Spain this next season!!

NBA Agent Georgios Sfairopoulos Visits Europrobasket!

NBA Agent Georgios Sfairopoulos visited Europrobasket International Academy this month. He was here for a few days taking a look at the facilities and meeting the staff for the European Summer League. The Europrobasket International Academy and Georgios Sfairopoulos are in a collaboration to bring high level young Greek players to big teams in Spain. This will start with the European Summer League in Girona this June.

Georgios Sfairopoulos is the founder of Sfera Sports Association, an agency that represents players and coaches at the highest level. He graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a degree in Sports Law. He coached for 13 years and was a director for 6 years in many 1st and 2nd division Greek clubs. In 2004 he changed paths to represent players and coaches at the highest levels in Europe as a FIBA Certified agent and in the NBA as an NBA Certified Agent.

Professional Coach Visits Europrobasket!

Europrobasket would like to thank Professional Greek coach Dimitrios Kyriakou for his visit to the academy. Dimitrious came to Europrobasket with a long history as a head coach, assistant coach and director/coordinator for different professional and collegiate programs. His most recent experience comes as a Head Coach for the Greek National Basketball Team to the Maccabiah games. Also as the Head Coach of The Anatolia College Basketball team which is in the 2nd National Division in Greece. Other experiences are with the Jordanian’s National Team in the U18 and U16 groups, Pierkos/Arhelaos B.C., AJAX Evosmos, and Anagennisi-Floga as a head coach in the 2nd division. As well as numerous clubs in the 1st Division Greece as an assistant coach such as Rethymno Aegean B.C., Kavala B.C., and Iraklis B.C. Not to mention working as an assistant coach in the United States for various NCAA programs such as Furman University NCAA DI and the University of Nevada NCAA DI.

In all these years and experiences with various professional and NCAA Division I programs he has been very successful with a 255-65 win loss record!! He’s been the Undefeated National champion with Aris U18 Junior team, State Champion with Aris U18 Junior team, State Champion with Iraklis U18 Junior Team, Champion of North and Central Greece with Iraklis U18 Junior Team, been to the final four with Aris and Iraklis U18 Junior teams, brought Aetos Kilkis to the 3rd place position with the best record in the clubs history, and received coach of the year for juniors! The list goes on and on for this great coach!

The staff and players feel blessed to have had the opportunity to learn from a coach with such extensive knowledge and deep insight to the game of basketball on a World level. Thank you coach Dimitrios Kyriakou, we look forward to having you as a coach for the European Summer League in June!!
